Christmas Fun with Bugaboo Stamps!!

Gosh!  The year has gone so fast!! This weeks PIP Challenge is # 1848 ~ That means we're in week 48 of 52 for 2018!!  Perfect timing though for a fun & easy holiday diy :)  Bugaboo Digi Stamps is this weeks sponsor and the generous provider of this weeks images "Christmas Tags"!  You can enter to win by simply uploading up to 3 of your current creations at the Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenge Blog.  One lucky winner will receive a $12 shopping spree in the Bugaboo Digi Stamps store!!!

This digi set is simply wonderful!  I love the cartoonish drawings because they look so good with simple and bright colors!!  They are adorable tags but I thought it would be fun to try something different.

Each digi was colored and then die cut with corresponding circle dies in 3 or 4 sizes!  I decided to use bakers twine to string them and added a second row with a drop for extra interest.

To connect them to the twine I cut additional circles in various matching papers, glittered, gold, DSP and sandwiched the twine between 2 identical size disks.

For decoration I used Nuvo Crystal Drops, water colors, & gel pens to keep the colors bright & basic.

My garland is 8 feet in length.  I thought it would be cute on an antique window I have.  I
also like the idea of draping it on a tree.  What are your ideas?  I would love to hear from you ;)  Send me a link of your project!!!!  I'll be watching for them on the PIP Challenge Blog too!!!

Autumn Scrapbook/Journal Cover

Its been a lengthy & spectacular season of color!!
I am excited to share this Autumn 2018 inspired scrapbook/journal :)

What an adventur
e using this great digital image set "4 Season Wreath Bundle" from Sparkle and Sprinkle has been!  They are the sponsors of this weeks PIP Challenge #1846 and are providing a $15 prize to use in their gigantic store!!!

My favorite thing about digital stamps is that you can manipulate them in countless ways!  Having 1 set like this one is like having hundreds of stamps --- really!! I fell in love with this wreath set.
I messed around with digital layers and colors! Because they have so many leaf & berry options you can just drop in additional ones wherever you want.  The bow is also a drop in so you can color & position it any way you like!  I even messed with the "Spring Flowers" & made them red like poinsettia for another Christmas/Winter option :) (see fun ideas below!)

Ahhh! True love!  AND I didn't have to get out my chalks or pens to color it!!

I also chose just a few berries to highlight with Glossy Accents.

The inside of this little book is filled with colors and accents of the season. I hope you will come back to see them!!  I will link them HERE or you can click on the Autumn or Scrapbooking label below to see them as they get posted.  Thank you so much for following along ~ I really enjoy your company :)

***Don't forget, now that you're feeling all creative, to visit the PIP Challenge Blog for more inspiration and link up 3 of your current projects for 3 chances to win a $15 gift from Sparkle & Sprinkle!!!!!

DESIGN INFO:

I love this great stamp set so much I wanted to share some of the options you have manipulating the images and colors to "stamp" just what your heart desires!!!  Most of this was done with simple layering on quarter turns and color changes using photo editing software.  The columns were made by first making 1 portion of greenery, welding it all together and then copy and pasting it a few times. Once I had several pasted I welded and then copy & pasted that larger section a few more times!  It was really quick as I was eventually doing a whole column at a time!  I used the same process with the wreaths!

Doesn't this just open a new WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES!!!

Wrapped up Warm... PiP Challenge 1844

WoW!!  It is already the 44th week of 2018!! How do the days slip by so quickly? It's nearly time for snow boots!!  No wonder this little gal looks so thoughtful; she's probably pondering that there are only 5 more months of Winter left!! (She must be a local)

"Wrapped up Warm" is the featured digi in this weeks PIP challenge. You can find her at the Polkadoodles website; sponsor for this weeks PIP Challenge - #1844.  Polkadodles is awarding the prize, 3 digis of choice to one lucky winner!!
How to win?  Download any current paper project at the Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenge Blogspot (up to 3!), anything goes!!  While you're there be sure to check out projects submitted by other PIP followers :)

This gift bag was fast, affordable & easy!  I picked up the mid size bag at the local Dollar Store.  Since there is no limit to how you can manipulate digital images I just printed it in the size I wanted and used coordinating blue & gray watercolors.  Then added lots of snowflake die-cuts covered in glitter!

All ready for a delivery of sweet treats!

Don't forget to visit the PIP Challenge blog and link up your projects! It's so fun & inspiring to see & share art.  I hope your Winter starts out beautiful, but in the mean time have a wonderful Autumn!!!

Halloween Greetings!!

The air is cold even in the full sun and all the trees are on fire with the colors of Fall.  In mere days children will be happily dressed as their favorite characters, animals or something ghoulish and scary!!  I love Autumn & I love Halloween :)  That's what makes this season of paper crafting so much fun!! Today I have a see through shaker card to share!  And the great digi collection that I used to make it was provided by this week's PIP CHALLENGE sponsor Digital Delights and you can win a gift certificate of $5 to use in their store!

"Boiling in the Pot" is the perfect set to use for a fun shaker card.  I put a branch through the crystal ball and added different stars, sequins and beads.  I also made the back of the shaker clear so that I could put the adorable witch peeking through it with her frog.  (I like to think she's giving him a bubble bath ~ the other possibilities are too gruesome!)
A small detail that made a BIG difference was the addition of Sharpie Black to the edge of the dimensional tape.  This helps the tape to disappear!  Next time I will color the back of the card stock with it too so the white edge doesn't show through the window on the inside of the card...

A little fussy cutting; some washi and I have a really cute card to share!  Now it's your turn!  Set free those creative juices and create something out of paper to enter in the PIP Challenge ~ Anything goes #1842 ~ You could win  a mini shopping spree & you'll have a lot of fun along the way. Stop by Digital Delights and check out some of their seasonal (& oh so affordable!) fun.

I also considered using the Halloween Greetings" tag inside the crystal ball, but I couldn't pass up using the cute witch!!

Did I mention you can choose colored or plain? Super fast images for any project !!  Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a creative & wonderful day :)

Wishing and Missing! PiP Challenge Inspiration # 1840

Ever missed someone special?  That little empty spot in our hearts as we go about our days, weeks, months.  We can still be happy & the missing doesn't ruin the beauty of what we have now but, still....  our heart aches for that little missing piece.

That's what's inspired this weeks PIP Challenge card. Just the wish, wish, wishing for time with someone special.  Polkadoodles sponsored this cute, pre-colored image, Earlie Hedgehog Dandelion which I altered a little bit; making the colors more towards the hughes of Autumn.
In the background I stamped & embossed the Unity image "Wish" repeatedly in different colors. I used copper, cocoa, clear & clear metallic over Walnut Stain Distress Oxide ink. I then stamped 2 puff seed heads and mimicked the colors in the digi image, adding dimensional dots from Nuvo.
I dimensionally layered the cute image on a shape that reminded me of a seed puff & added a banner with the words "wish you were here" also from Unity Stamp Co (Wish With Your Heart set)
Remember, PIP Challenges are always Anything Goes! and each week our sponsor awards the winner with a prize from their store!  Polkadoodles is offering up 3 digis of your choice!!  So don't delay!!  You can download up to 3 projects ~ no backlinking please!!

Night Shadow - Digital Coloring & Fussy Cut Layers

This beautiful image, Night Shadow, is compliments of Ching-Chou Kuik Digis ~ the sponsor for this weeks PIP Challenge 1838!  I am really excited to share with you the amazing ease of coloring these beautiful images available in grayscale!  I so enjoyed coloring this image I printed it in several color schemes and left the one pictured above mostly colorless. For a little "pop" I used yellow chalk on the eyes.

To accomplish the 3D effect, I printed this image 3 times and fussy cut portions out of 2 of them.  I then put 1 layer of dimensional adhesive below the lower cut and the owl and 2 layers of dimension under the center portion.  The icy cold and 3D combination really makes this image intriguing.  I matted it with a water colored background using blue since I changed the tint of the gray scale toward blue. It almost looks like it is made of porcelain the way the light plays off of its dimensions!!

Don't forget to go to the PIP Challenge Blog website to download your creation!  Anything goes, so you have no excuse not to enter!!!  Ching-Chou Kuik is sponsoring the this weeks prize of ANY 2 DIGIS from their Etsy Store!!!!
In addition to changing the tint I decided to actually change the colors in each area.  This took a lot of time with the program I have, selecting and then adjusting the color scale individually for each area. Here are the original results:

Once this was accomplished I used the color slide to adjust the colors overall at the same time.  So within seconds I could go from my original color scheme to something more tropical or clear down to Autumn browns and golds!

There is so much to love about the detail in this stamp that I preferred to print it fairly large at about 5.5 inches, then matting it up. It's a great image for the cover of a photo album because of this!

Addicted to Linear / Border Stamps!!

Ahhh! Today I am sharing some creations using my favorite background technique!! Oxide stripes with linear stamp accents. They work with just about any theme or image in the foreground and what is the most fun for me is coming up with new color combinations!!

As luck would have it - it is also PIP Challenge week # 1836 ~ Anything Goes! So don't hold back!! Give a new technique a try, post your project at the PIP Challenge Blog and you could win a $12 discount code at Di's Digi Stamps!!  You can use it on any of hundreds of great digital images!

This time I branched out a little bit, experimenting with new colors and some new embossing powders.  The powders are from Lindy's Stamp Gang and WoW!! do they ever have a great variety of beautiful, bright, 2 tone colors!!! They're addictively fun!! They also become a nice smooth gloss which is what I prefer in an embossing powder!

Additionally the butterflies are a wonderful arena of creative excitement for me so I will be sharing a tutorial on them soon.  Follow my blog & I will come back in & create a link when I get that tutorial posted :)

Meanwhile, here are some of the Autumn Colored stripes I tried for the first time.  I am so excited to use them with leaves, owls and sunflowers. I will again link them HERE when I get them put together!!
